Anthony Ventura - Danny Boy.mp3

There are various theories as to the true meaning of "Danny Boy".

Some listeners have interpreted the song to be a message

from a parent to a son going off to war or leaving as part of the Irish diaspora.

The 1918 version of the sheet music included alternative lyrics

("Eily Dear"), with the instructions that "when sung by a man,

the words in italic should be used; the song then becomes

"Eily Dear", so that "Danny Boy" is only to be sung by a

lady". In spite of this, it is unclear whether this was Weatherly's intent.

(There are a number of variations on these lyrics.)

Oh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy, I love you so.

And if you come, and all the flowers are dying
If I am dead, as dead I well may be
I pray you'll find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me
And all my grave will warm and sweeter be
And then you'll kneel and whisper that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.

or I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.
or And I shall rest in peace until you come to me.
or Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy, I love you so.

Flowers are Nature's messengers -
reminders of an unspeakable beauty.

When you show kindness to others, you bring out
the best in yourself, and a side-effect of
brightening up somebody else's life is
to feel happier in yours.

We invest so much time in meaningless things
that bring us little satisfaction, when
everything we need to fill us with
joy is within us.

No matter how much sorrow or happiness can
distort our feelings, we should keep striving
towards our goals, because feelings come
and go, whereas the honor which
stems from our sweat, stays
with us forever.

Pumpkin Muffins filled with
Spiced Marshmallow Cream

This recipe is a bit lengthy with more
ingredients than I like to mess with, but
I bet these are delicious if you have
the time to prepare!!

1 pkg spice cake mix
1/2 c water
1/2 c vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 c canned pumpkin (not pie mix)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spices
1/2 c chopped nuts (walnuts)
1/2 c raisins
1/2 c shredded coconut
2 tsp hot water
1/4 tsp salt
1 jar(s) marshmallow creme (7 oz)
1/2 c shortening
1/3 c confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spices
2 Tbsp canned pumpkin (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350F. In a bowl, add your nuts, coconut & raisins. Cut off the top of cake mix and add 2 tbls of cake mix to your ingredients. Stir thoroughly to make sure all ingredients are coated. This will ensure even distribution to your muffins.
2. In your stand up mixer, or using a hand mixer and a bowl, add your cake mix. Add the rest of ingredients. Mix for 2-3 minutes.
3. Fold in your nut mixture. Spray muffin tins with non stick cooking spray. Using a 1/4 c measure scoop batter into muffin tins. Bake for 17-19 minutes, (mine took 17).
4. Meanwhile, as muffins are baking, you can start on your spiced marshmallow cream.
5. In a small bowl, combine hot water and salt. Nuke for 30 seconds till all salt is diolved.
6. Using your mixer, beat the marshmallow creme, shortening, confectioners' sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add the salt mixture and beat for 1 more minute. Using your pastry bag or plastic bag, insert star pastry tip, add cream and chill till ready to use.
